A number of campus and local media outlets, including The Baltimore Sun, have begun reporting concerns over proposed regulations on screening films in the University System of Maryland.
As we mentioned last week the University System of Maryland is considering becoming the first public institution in America to regulate the screening of "objectionable" films. Students and Faculty expressed their concerns that a policy of this sort could restrict the marketplace of ideas, preclude controversial events and violate academic freedom, to reporters this weekend.
