Free Speech Razzies

This week our allies at the Thomas Jefferson Center for Free Expression released their “Muzzle” awards condemning the worst  free speech violations  this year.

Among the recipients is one that should be familiar to frequent readers.  The lone muzzle given to an institution of higher education this year was awarded to the administration of Southwestern College for suspending four faculty members who left the school’s “Free Speech Patio” during a protest about class cuts.  We’ve written about this incident numerous times and are happy to see that this award is bringing renewed attention Southwestern’s continuance of this unconstitutional speech policy.
